I am grateful for my second chance in life. My dad passed away a little over a week ago, but I am grateful that he was able to see me get clean, become a mother, and hold his granddaughter. I thank God that at this moment in my life I was not using drugs, because I have had so many good memories with my Dad over these past 5 months. For the first time in a long time, I was answering my phone when he called, sticking to my commitments to visit, and enjoying every moment of it. In the end that’s all that matters….moments with your loved ones. I love you Dad, and miss you already.
