I am grateful for quiet with no chaos, crocheting in my warm house, and my pup laying on my lap.
I'm grateful for this being a rainy dark windy day. I don't have any chaos and by God's Grace don't crave it. I'm free to snuggle with my dogs and be restful. I am free from alcohol by AA and God grace. I'm much less likely to cause harm to anyone either by my actions or inaction...
Old me, the monster is healed..AA gives so much to us
AA and my God gave me so much as well. Mine was a monster too. And I love dark rainy days but am in the UP of MI and will get snow for the rest of the month.
Glad you have it all together with God’s Grace!
Same here- grateful to have another day sober and happy, enjoying a fun hobby.
What do you do for a hobby? It’s always good to replace the bad stuff with good stuff. I have learned how to crochet. And I’m reading again.
Collecting and playing guitars. Being sober has freed up spending money, and I greatly enjoy playing newer and fancier guitars I was always too drunk to improve on before
That’s pretty awesome! Yes having the money back is helpful. Next is to quit smoking. I can imagine all the money I would free up!
I wish I had more time to read, I feel like time has become a zero-sum game. But I volunteer for the rehab I went through/worked at, play/sing for church, then work, work, work.
Good luck with quitting smoking, that's a pretty tough one. Patches help but the dreams are intense
Time goes by so fast the older I get! But I got ya. I volunteer at a nursing home. And homeschool my son. I’m blessed to not have to work so that is nice.
I like working, I just wish my shift was a more normal time frame
Glad you like working. I am suffering from a bunch of different things that disables me unfortunately.
Sorry to hear that
Awe thank you. I am on lots of meds and I just get up every day and try to conquer it!
I believe in you
Thank you. That means a lot!
Thanks Tricia! It just finished snowing here today. I went to University in Winona in S. MN. I was always grateful I didn't live up too further north.
Ah we are sorta neighbors then. I decided to go to Northern Michigan University in Marquette MI and found a Yooper so stayed here. Doesn’t mean I have to like the snow
Uh...what's a Yooper?
It's late season snow down here.
I graduated in 96. It was incredible. I miss Winona just not the cold
A Yooper is a person who was born and raised above the bridge. People like me born and raised in the lower peninsula are called trolls because we lived below the bridge.
That's funny yeah I couldn't have guessed that...bet Google knows it though
