I am grateful I don’t have to be paranoid

I am grateful I no longer feel paranoid when the police are behind me. Anyone else?

Not so much the police but yes, with my wife finding out I hid my drinking. I finally came clean but there was time I hid so many bottles, and forgot where I hid them, that she’d find out and be just as shocked if she did the same and hid bottles

I understand. The ways I hid my drinking and drugging was so insane.

Oh yeah, big time.

I am grateful to not have that feeling of tensing up when they are behind me. Even when I am not doing anything wrong

Lol. I got pulled over like a week after getting out of rehab and my first thought wasn’t anger or anything, it was - thank god I don’t have an open bottle or drugs in the car. Turned out to be nothing - miscommunication about insurance. Got resolved in minutes, cop was super nice. One of many blessings of recovery.

Yeah Q, I hear you. The first time I was pulled over (didn’t have headlights on, just left parking ramp) I thanked the cop. It was SO different to not worry about it. The AA decal on my car help too .
