For 30 days, write down on a calendar 5 things you are grateful for that day, without repeating any of them for 30 days. It's kind of easy at first. However, because you can't repeat any, it will get harder, and that's what makes you think of the smaller things in life that you are grateful for. After my 30 days, I am grateful for things automatically, like, subconsciously.
