Hey, I’m really glad you reached out and shared this here. TBH, struggling is a part of the process in my opinion and you may not have their support but you have ours so you are certainly not alone  Have you thought about going to recovery meetings (NA/AA) or finding a sponsor. I have found that connecting with others who understand what you’re going through can make a huge difference!

Yes we're here for you. You can do this I believe in you. One day at a time. " I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me"

Ashley If what you're going through is anything close to what I went through some 35 + years ago when I got sober. As long as you're willing to go to any length to get it then you'll be ok. If you don't have the willingness then the inevitable will happen.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but family may not always have the tools to support us. Not out of lack of care but maybe out of knowledge or understanding. Lots of great support groups, 12 steps, etc out there. What are your next steps for getting the support you need?

Good news is support from family or loved ones is not expected or needed to get and stay sober. They don’t understand what you’re going through and you shouldn’t expect them to.
Some of mine encouraged me to keep drinking :flushed:

Find a support group outside of your family.
A.A. was and still is where I find the solution and support. NA might work for you. I wish you the best.

I haven't thought about that. I have 3 kids and barely have any time. But I need to get better so I can stop spending the money I don't have to smoke.

Thankyou all so much. :heartbeat: god bless

It’s tough at times. Some days better than others, but keep pushing and it gets a little easier. It’s a journey, but one well worth the work
