I am humbly Grateful for being able to sit quietly with God and meditate. Sitting quietly, even in a coffee shop cuz it's where I'm supposed to be. .doing a part of the steps.."Continued through prayer and meditation to Improve our conscious contact with God" as we understand God... Peace..

How I long for peace even as my addiction is active right now, I come here daily to remember ALL I have to be thankful for, even and above all in desperate times.

God as we understand God will hear your very soul crying out to God for love and Sobriety.. with me when I finally got down (literally) on my knees and said "God please, I am willing to do Anything, just please help me stop drinking and using.." I got this image of a tooth brush. Then I felt this presence ( I now understand was God) say remember when I ask you to use this toothbrush you begged me for sobriety. I asked what that meant. I immediately saw in my head a tiled bathroom. The floor tiles were one inch by one inch. Little white grout btwn them.
I again heard the voice in my soul say, " we're going to clean this entire bathroom floor. Every tile all the grout btwn the tiles"...I knew God meant Me. My life was a mess because if my actions. My pain was also pain I had deliberately caused others. I was Scared and intimidated by the idea of cleaning up"me". But by God's Grace I knew I had no other choice, no other future.. without following AA...
I promise you will probably have a completely different spiritual experience but the 12 steps results are truly powerful and truly for you... Hang In There ..
Listen for a person usually some one we literally can't have a attraction to who has a sobriety you want.. then ask them to be your sponsor. It's against our nature to trust but it's part of admitting we Are powerless..and a power greater than ourselves can and Will help us
