I am overwhelmed with the lack of honesty and the fraud that assaults me (and everyone else) on a daily basis. I’m so anxious (and medicated for it), that I want to get off all social media and start paying my bills by check. Im afraid, though, that will lead to isolation and isolation will lead to drinking.

Remember when you're powerless over anything go to your higher power and his word which is the word of truth no lies, and surrender yourself to him and he will heal you of all things. Hope this helps just try it you have nothing to loss but your problems and be in perfect peace.
Are you going to any AA meetings?
Carrie, in my experience social media was similar to the toxic news. I had to pivot my focus on better things. My sobriety and especially my mental and emotional sobriety became my number one focus. Then everything got easier.
I pay my bills by check too. Less hacks.
