Leave if you can. Call someone in your network

In the future always have a plan B. Let your network know that you’ve got a potential triggering situation approaching, ask for advice should your bs factory start lying to you /telling you that you need a drink, etc. drive yourself, bring a sober friend etc

I have a sobriety app that has a little matching game with a timer that runs for about the amount of time a craving usually lasts, I’ve found that to be valuable for me personally. Deep breaths, you’ve got this :heartpulse: Also do they have mocktails available? Sometimes just having a pretty glass of something nonalcoholic while everyone else is drinking fancy drinks makes me feel a little more “normal”.

I don’t have a network yet. I was able to take deep breaths and leave early.
Thank you!

Deep breaths are so helpful! I’ve been trying different mock tails. That’s been fun.

I was at a wedding a few months ago in a different state, I FaceTimed a friend every hour. I was worried what people would say about me not drinking, but nobody said a thing. Good for you though on your first sober wedding!!!!

Glad you made it, but if it’s an issue, avoid such events. I know it’s hard but … priorities

Hi Apple..do you know what the app is called?

It’s called Sobriety Counter, the icon is a little person kicking through a bottle

Eat cake - it works - cuts out the craving
