I believe recovery is in itself a direct pathway from God Himself to a better way of enjoying our life. True, keeping our higher power optional for the recovering addict might reach a lot more people, but having tried it that way before compared to this time, with Jesus Christ as my higher power...WOW!, what a difference. He definitely, without a doubt was the missing ingredient and looking back i realize how much damage the " politically correct" movement has done to recovery. I am not knocking the way we do recovery, the way it is is the closest we have gotten towards that elusive cure, but in the end it will all circle back to God one way or the other, so do urself a favor and keep an open mind to God and His Son Jesus, the worst that can happen is you become a better person. I am a walking miracle and was one of the worst out there. There's nothing you can do bad enough in life that you can't come back from, just remember that you can't do it on your own. Ask Him for help in all things, have a lil faith, He will always be there waiting. Love u guys
