I came here from Sober Grid. The founder of Sober Grid was murdered, and the app died slowly after. It was a great app but hoping this will replace it. I have 15 years sober from drugs and alcohol. I’m in Phoenix for the time being.

Yup same here. I'm taking some time to get used to this app but it is quite different. Still thankful to have another sober social media. It seems like a pretty good place here.

Glad you made it from sober grid. I was there too… it’s all a pretty sad story how it ended.
I was on there for 7 years. I read an article by some Santa Monica newspaper online that speculates that Beau was using and died from an overdose. I’m not sure, but I hope the police can figure out what happened and give his family closure.
Unless someone talks and has evidence to indicate otherwise, it sounds like there's little to nothing to indicate any foul play. Santa Monica isn't exactly a violent area, especially now that the homeless camps in Venice are gone.
True that they haven’t come out stating it was murder, but SM has become more dangerous. My family has see the change in the past 24 years.
From what I read the family hired a investigator and he felt it was drug related.
