I can totally do this

And, so what if I got sober curious just to prove "them" wrong.... I've been told I'm likely dellusional when it comes to this strange skin condition I've been trying to figure out over the last two years. I'm not dellusional but there's no convincing them of that so... Sobriety seemed like the next step in my path to healing.
And, it's working...
The last two weeks of sobriety have been marked by so many tears as I face the music I had been numb to. I've learned to protect my sobriety by choosing carefully to whom I will disclose the news. I'm grateful to people who have revealed themselves to be unable to suport me through this. As they back away slowly I find myself with new peace all around me.
Also in these last two weeks of sobriety I've been a more present mom, I've felt the brain fog slowly clearing up, my house is a more functional / organized / peaceful place for my family and I. My pain has improved. I can see myself / love myself in ways I had lost track of. And - I'm feeling the joy of sucess. I'm doing it. I'm so proud.
So - don't tell me my sober motivation is bull. It's mine and it's working.

Not sure who all these naysayers are, but you own your sobriety. Nobody can keep you from it, and nobody can make you drink. The peace comes from being committed to yourself. There’s no better proof that you are on the right path than by results you are seeing with your interactions with your family. Keep pushing :peace_symbol:
