I decided to go camping this weekend - but it’s actually more like “glamping”. There’s a huge tent with a proper bed inside, with night tables, a lamp, electricity to charge devices.
I tried as hard as I could but was dying for a drink by the time I left work. I barely got the car packed before I bought my beers. And then I drove (yes, while drinking) 2.5 hours) to the site.
I was all prepared to down another 6-pack at the camp when I luckily got sleepy.
This morning is radiant, I’m not too hung over (only 4 beers I read of 9-10) and I have a lot planned for the day. Hopefully I’ll have a peaceful, sober evening around the campfire. I plan on reading and listening about sobriety throughout the day to reinforce this resolve. Wish me luck!
