I do outreach in my community for an organization called PROJECTME, and that involves walking the streets and educating the community on what the different overdoses look like and handing out narcan to anybody and everybody who will take it. I came across a registered nurse who works for a local hospital here in town and I went up to talk to her and offered her FREE narcan to be prepares in case she knows someone or came across someone who may be overdosing. She said that she is a nurse and she dont need narcan because she has everything she needs because she knows CPR and will just administer that to save their life until paramedics come??!! What in the actual double tailed sperm, is going on here? Since when does CPR save ones life from an overdose? Ignorance is the biggest barrier out here and its hard to overcome. Please stay educated out here my people. Why is it mostly addicts that have the heart to care enough to help someone when their overdosing??
