I don’t believe that sober or
using I’ll ever be able to do anything good in this world

I still feel that way sometimes, even after a couple years sober. I used for over 30 years, there’s not much of anything from ‘before’ that left. So what I have is 30 years of heavy sh*t. It’s all on me, no one else. All I can say is you have to forgive yourself and by being better show yourself you can. Baby steps man, it takes time. But don’t get discouraged if you’re moving forward. Good luck.

Nah sober’s better when you mess up. Then you do a spot check inventory where you messed up and call yourself on it. Then apologize soon as possible and see if you can’t move on from it.

Man you are in a good spot where we all here have or had addictions. Love is key and pray for people that struggle with the same thing that you struggled with from a Distance. it works like it suppose too.

I feel like that sometimes but it's just a feeling it comes and go it shoul pass stay strong you can do it
If you believe that, you probably won't. If you believe you can change and do good in this world, you will probably do it. If you really believe that you are causing people pain in this world then figure out how you're doing this and stop.
Thank you for the response. Been a pretty down day. Been sober a couple weeks now. Not sure if things are getting worse or I’m just feeling things now. May be losing my family. Practicing giving it to god.
Just remember whatever u wanna do is going to be 100x harder doing drugs or alcohol

Keep at it. It gets harder before it gets easier sometimes. All you can do is not use. That’s all you have to do
