Kevin, welcome back to sobriety. I’m going to agree with Jonathan. However there’s more to sobriety then just meetings. We need to read the AA big book, get a sponsor, do the step work. Your sponsor should be there to help you learn the steps and teach you how to teach another alcoholic who still suffers how to stay sober. This journey isn’t going to be easy. We have to put in the work, be open minded and most important be willing to give our life over to a higher power of our own understanding. For me that power is God. Today I can say I truly believe in God. I’m 622 days clean and sober. I’m working my program to the best of my ability. I have obtained another sponsor. I’m working the steps of AA. I go to meetings when I can. I live life on life’s terms. I’m no longer in control of my life, God has the wheel. I help others in my community and other Alcoholics. Having an attitude of gratitude has shifted my perspective on life. I’m more at peace with myself then ever before. I hope this has helped you. Stay sober my friend. First things first
Easy does it.
One day at a time.
Live and let live

Good afternoon Kevin!!!!
I understand you about being tired of being a drunk person. I know it’s not easy getting sober during the pandemic. But now meeting rooms are open again. Find yourself a nice home group and find a sponsor there. Don’t pick somebody the first day you go go there for a couple of times and listen to people. You’ll be able to tell who is good at being a sponsor. Other than that you are doing the right thing by reaching out and talking to people. That’s how I get sober and stay sober for years. I worked my program every day. If I wake up in a crappy mood I reach out and get help. That’s how serious I am about my sobriety now. I don’t let the alcohol run my life anymore. As the other Kevin says God runs my life now. Just keep doing the right thing by reaching out to people. By the way welcome to the big family. That’s what we are all here for to help one another with the same issues. So just take it easy one day at a time and first things first.
