There’s so much truth to that.. I’ve been breaking big barriers in my relationships with my spouse to family and myself just by asking others for help or reading/ listening online.
I’m glad you understand!! I’m not alone at least and thank you for acknowledging this
I hope I keep feeling! My want is to manage them accordingly without feeling pressured to respond to the emotions in a healthy way now.. it seems there’s so much help out there and that journey of STAYING in recovery brings all those gifts. Everyone here gave a lot of hope overall . Thank you!
Ask people to do stuff expecting them to drop passive aggressive. May feel better to do the right thing
When it gets warmer, game on.
So feel this way too at work. I'm in a supervisory role in the military. I have to continually remind myself, "how important is it really?" As long as I'm fulfilling my role to serve my subordinates, then their short comings are simply just that, theirs. If my boss asks me why my Soldiers have failed to do something, I take responsibility for it, but not blame. This helps me maintain my inner peace. I hope this helps.
You got a whole bunch of suggestions to take an emotional focused coping skills for the situation. Feelings are meant to be felt and problems and are meant to be addressed. You may want to consider a problem focused coping skills approach such as checking with your HR department what services are available for mediation. This is the first stage and if things don't change, you might have to start documenting about their performance. I know it's tough to have to do reports but that's part of your role as a supervisor.
Hahaha
