I don't even know why I drank. It was so unnecessary.
I'm finding that when I start getting comfortable after weeks or months and I stop talking about it (stop reaching out to other humans about it daily) that that's when I tend to start thinking I can have "just one" and fall down the rabbit hole. I'm not beating myself up this time. I'm just restarting the clock and taking what I've learned on my journey forward.

I sure have been there my friend. The sentence 'It was so unnecessary.' is so spot on. There are no benefits to drinking alcohol, whatsoever. You may check out Alan Carr's quit drinking without willpower, a book that illustrates this very well.
