It’s hard when you feel you have no one around you who is sober. That no one can ā€œrelateā€ to your struggle. I had to move and leave the support groups I had and now I found this app and just starting it out but from all the care and compassion I see so far on here this is a great place to start!! Keep it up. You are NOT alone.

I had to eliminate 95% of my "friends" when I got out of rehab. They were really just my coke and party enablers. Once I told everyone I was going or I went to rehab they scattered like roaches which truthfully made it easier on me. You truly find out who your "true" friends are which are few and far in between. Sober network whether near or far is where it's at. I still remain close with friends I made in rehab and they're from Cali, Maine and New Mexico so all over the US. So essentially reach out anytime, I'm here as an open ear anytime. Great luck, you got this shit.

Substances suck. How can people relapse? Stay sober its way better. 20byrs sober . No relapse on alcohol

You can always reach out to me. Also, there is recovery groups beyond AA like Recovery Dharma and SMART Recovery. I can tell you about them if you like?
Peace

Try some meetings in your area. I know they have specific young peoples meetings in n some places. All it takes Is one or two friends to make a huge difference

Hey I don’t know where you are and it doesn’t really matter I suppose but I don’t really have friends or a support system either. Always down for another friend especially a sober one.

Hi. You are not alone.
Things will get better and better. Do not pick up no matter what. Go to an AA meeting or can share in this chat room. This program works one day at a time. We want you to stay sober and have a good life. I’m not 10 years sober and life is very good, one day at a time.ļæ¼
