What Janice said. Go to AA meetings and make friends. It's pretty easy to do.

Ehhhh maybe. But I don't have a vehicle.. I don't think the meetings are that close to my home.

I was thinking video meetings, but I have been talking about that for AWHILE and still haven't done it.

Do they do something in place of giving out chips? I will want to get my 60 chip like Friday or Saturday

There are many people in the program that will give you a ride. There is an app for your phone- Meeting Finder - in the App Store. There are meetings everywhere.

Not a problem. Uber, Lyft, bus, cab, bike, walk, and get to a meeting. When you get there, raise your hand and share that you don’t have a ride and I can just about guarantee someone will offer to give you one. You’re not the only lonely person in AA. People with cars are lonely too!

I am not sure if I can even afford to make it there at the moment. I am going to see if I can. I still am not 100% sure I want aa/na. I will look into other kinds of self help groups for addiction to see if there are any other kinds of meetings in my area
