Now you just place one foot. Front of the other and keep walking forward honestly it’s that simple but not so easy and don’t look back just “keep swimming”

It takes time to learn new patterns. I wish I could tell you that one day yhe heavens opened and I was happy. It wasnt that dramatic.
I still struggle with a social life that does not include alcohol, but I am doing it.
So can you!

Amanda, welcome! That “what now?” feeling is totally normal. You did the hard part, got sober, working, started doing the right thing. Now you’re like… okay, but what’s the point?
Here’s what helps.. getting involved here. Check out the Community feed, read, comments, connect with people’s stories
Our SAM feature, it’s like a sober AI assistant for when you need quick support, direct messages, reach out to people whose posts resonate
The app works best when you stay connected. Post when you’re struggling. Comment on others’ stuff. Build connections. That’s how you go from “now what?” to building a life you don’t want to escape from.

Hope this helps. You got this!

Welcome! Stay connected, meet new sober friends, post when struggling, have questions and interact. You got this!

Listen to your thoughts without judgement and correct them. You can pull you out of this! Tell story I am Healed whole and complete.
I understand thinking you are lost but it is an illusion.
God/universe doesn’t want us to suffer. We came here so perfect and just forgot and got lost in all the patterns and limiting beliefs.
See yourself already as who you want to be and know that your life is amazing no matter what you see or feel right now.
If you say you are lost you surely will stay there.
Our outer world is created by our inner world.

Same thing here

Get connected to a recovery group; AA, NA, CA, etc., get a sponsor and do the steps. That's why the steps exist, to guide us.

You got to lock-in , put up a positive thought and vibe , find something engaging that you love to do and do it often , maybe hiking yoga exercise or walking …

One day at a time.
Healthy habits
Life change is just a series of good choices. You're basically slowly trying to get your serotonin and dopamine systems back to some semblance of normal, as are most of us on here....where we actually feel joy from small things and accomplishments like "normal" folks.

@amanda407859 As my first sponsor Clancy said.. Get and read the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, Get a sponsor and be of service to another alcoholic.

Remind yourself where you've come from and where you are now! Pray...for what you need...GOD hears you ..I promise!

Amanda, you’re definitely not alone. The path that truly takes many of us to happy sobriety and freedom is the 12 steps with a solid sponsor, in person AA/NA/CA etc., meetings and service in the sober community.
I strongly suggest going to 90 different meetings in 90 days. This way you find meetings you actually enjoy and sober people you like. Then return to those meetings. Find a solid sponsor. Someone that has inner peace & joy. Ask that person to sponsor you. Do the 12 steps to best of your ability. Take direction and don’t let your ego get in the way.
I sponsor over the phone now days.
I’m here if you want to talk. Either way my prayers are with you.
