I don't usually count the days I've been sober, can someone Wilson why they count the days, and what moves you to count the days, months or years? I'd really appreciate it.

I just use the quit that app. I check it off and on to celebrate how long I’ve been sober.

It's a 24 hour program. It tells you how many 24 hours you've completed.

I never counted before I relapsed for the 3rd time. I'm 6 months sober and I think it's helping me stay focused. I'll let you know down the road.

Having a sober date that you own is a commitment to yourself that you are in long term recovery. By having that date and wanting to keep that date I am motivated. It’s not the only thing that keeps me sober, but it’s one of the things. I need multiple things that keep me sober. I think the folks that say “I don’t count days because it’s just 24 hours.” are letting themselves off the hook. Give your addiction a opportunity to rationalize using for just one day and it will take it. I see the people who won’t pick a day relapse.

I count because I feel no amount of days is long enough because I can never forget what liquor will do to me if I slip. WE are pickled. WE know our Kryptonite and we MUST stay away from it, or it WILL destroy us. Hallelujah.. I’ve found and Pursuing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ hallelujah
