I drink every day and I want to stop
Been drinking for over 50 years
It takes much more than willpower. Try some meetings and connect with other sober person..
You can stop, Rafael. It's not easy to do but it can be done. Take it one day at a time. Connect with sober minded people. Attend meetings. Get a sponsor.
We're here for you.
So glad you’re here. You can do this. Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Will keep you in my prayers
Can't do it without support and a tool box. I went to a 30 day inpatient treatment that changed my life
If you've been drinking habitually that long you'll need medical care to detox safely. After that, it's a long road of really hard work to stay stopped. I wish you the absolute best
I too was a daily drinker for a long assss time. I had to get medically detoxed to break the cycle. Then I went to in person AA meetings everyday and did the 12 steps a bunch of times. 16 years of grateful sobriety. You can do it too if you really want to and choose to.
I’m here if you want to talk
Try self control/habit of drinking 1 day, not drinking the other day. Gradually start reducing your intake. Give it 1 month. After one month, cut it to non, and stick with it. Hope this helps.
Seek detox to withdraw safely and seek professional help. It’s always good to have a mental break from the obsession.
I can’t recommend this enough, if you have the ability, please contact your doctor. They helped me break my daily drinking (drank 30 years).
Reach out to A.A. meetings. You will meet people who were where you are. You need to be serious about this before it's too late. One day at a time.
I sober a lot too I don’t know if I can connect with someone on here
