I feel alone when it comes to my family fighting about my boundaries. They think I’m living my old ways and it’s hard when my sobriety is question.
Stand your ground! Your boundaries are what you decide. You can always turn and walk away. Stay true to yourself.
I lived with the fam for a while sober. Eventually I had more peace spending time out of the house and knew it was time to move out.
Just gotta keep proving yourself. Takes awhile for the wreckage from our past to be healed. Just don’t use no matter what. They’ll come around eventually.
Just go with the flow and be strong
It is so tough when people don't understand but you have to be strong and do what's right for you.
Or they may not come around.then you have a choice to stay or leave.aa . Org for meetings.
Putting up boundaries early on in sobriety is a must! Family and friends.
For me when I stayed focused on my sobriety, my health, and continued to improve my behavior the respect and trust came back with the majority of my family and friends. The best thing I did was not talking about what I was going to do in sobriety but to show them. It’s action that speaks louder then words. I had the best feelings come up when my son said “Dad, I can see the changes you’ve made.” That right there put tears in my eyes. For once in my life I actually made a change without talking about it and someone noticed. Huge moment for me.
So, make changes to your behavior. Put up healthy boundaries. Enjoy the fruits of sobriety.
It’s your sobriety not there’s if they know you and really care they will notice.
Exactly my point! Keep your side of the street clean. Be kind and loving to all no matter what….
