I feel like I’m really starting to get my mind back. As long as I keep taking care of myself. Can’t wait for my sponsor to sign off on me getting a dog ..

It sounds silly, but it’s more about the willingness to listen to a power greater than herself, and not rely on self. If you are not a 12 step person, this may not make sense, but this is a good sign that Amanda is working the program

NA and she hasn’t steered me wrong yet. So I just follow her suggestions.

No, I get the 12 steps, I’ve tried it myself before, didn’t work for me. And I’ve also taught the step program at a clinic I worked at. I’m not knocking Amanda for doing what works for her. So I get it. But it seems you’re saying a “sponsor” is a power greater than yourself?!
Nah gods my hp. I prob used the wrong words..She doesn’t have to sign off on anything. It’s just a suggestion that I’m choosing to listen to.
Oh I agree, God is definitely the higher power. Well, whatever works for you is what matters. I’m glad you’re making progress
