While I’m a proponent of Loosid, I’m also a proponent of you do what works for you. If you’re staying sober and enjoying your path, be it your particular recovery program, app, social media etc…keep doing what feels good to you.
I also liked some things about SG. Loosid is definitely not as “Facebookish”, but is a great place to connect with other people in recovery, and bother give and get support. I hope you stick around and learn to love it here for what it does offer

So, after being on Telegram for a minute, I’m thinking, maybe it isn’t the place for me, it seems that it’s harder for me to stay sober on there. Chat rooms have always been hard for me, so maybe this is the right place? Time will tell. Thank you

I hope so too. Personally, I like a moderated forum where there’s a little more accountability for your words. Without “guardrails”, it only takes a few cuckoos to muck things up. I like the guardrails for me too. It keeps me out of the alley

Never been on telegram. Only on here ans IAS. Zero social media. It annoys me. Was on Facebook for a week 12 years ago bc my friend wanted me to play scrabulous and all these people from my past started contacting me. It freaked me out. This is different. People are supportive and nice. If fake or weird I block.

To be honest I feel like I am the one with a problem being anti social media. My brain can't process it. And it makes me depressed. The only good thing is I know I can't deal w it so I stay away but I wish I could connect more w people esp people from my past. I feel like it's not going to be real so I avoid it.
