I found my Tribe!! A most awesome LGBTQIA AND FRIENDS GROUP!!! They felt like I was home the minute I was through the door. I went with my best friend, whom I drank texted the night before. After chugging the equivalent of 4 bottles of wine in 2 hours, some while driving, I got violently I'll and took 3 pain pills and 6 xanex. When I laid my head down, there was a huge part of me that hoped I'd never wake up, but God had a different plan for me
Of course in the morning I told my friend I'm fine don't worry and kidnapped me after work fed me a healthy dinner the right to the meeting.I had never felt so much love and kindness,even after I shared my previous night debacle. I am an alcoholic through and through and today I begin a new scary supported life. So grateful God let me have yet another chance at life.

Please keep going to meetings with your new tribe! I'm glad you were taken there.. the journey will be tough at times but be honest..and your tribe will carry honest messy you...

:rainbow::butterfly::fire::heart: there’s something awesome about connecting at that level. I belong to NA and when I hit lgbt(et al) meets there’s a level of comfort and acceptance that sometimes I don’t feel elsewhere. Glad you found a group that makes you feel at home. :metal:t4::rainbow::fire:

Well sobriety didn't last long but went back to the meeting I found and I'm not giving up!!
As of today I have 3 days under my belt and just taking it ODAAT!
