I got the staples pulled out my skin graft and the doctor confirmed that my body has accepted the graft. It's been 45 days since I've had the luxury of having running water over my body. I GOT THE OKAY TO SHOWER. Honestly, they would be discharging me today if they could. My plane ticket is bought. I DISCHARGE FROM THE HOSPITAL ON SATURDAY, 08/07. I fly to the hometown I haven't been to in forever on Sunday.

I've moved out when I was 15. I moved across country at 22. I don't know my family very well at all. That's my fault, I've been gone. I lost most my life, I don't know how to get ahold of my brothers if I wanted to. The family I ran away have come together to take me in and take care of me so I can heal. I kinda can't believe it. I don't deserve it. I don't even deserve to live. I should have died but I didn't. I was given a second chance at life and I've been my family back. I am FOREVER grateful. I owe to myself and everyone else to give myself as a living amends.

Thank God!

Wow, you're definitely a miracle. Looks like you have done a lot of healing and still have a lot yet to do. Be patient with yourself and remember to give yourself grace.

Second chances are a magical thing. We never deserve them, half of us blow them, and some of us never realize we had them. Make the fullest of this opportunity. Good luck

Are you in Florida yet

Sunday. Why? Where you at?

Jesse! Congrats on your physical recovery and mental recovery! Turn all this negative thoughts about yourself into positive self talk! You do deserve to live! That’s why you were given a second chance! You now have a story to tell the still suffering addict. I hear your gratitude. Keep up the good work. You have a lot to offer this world. Thank you for sharing this today! You’ve helped me a lot!
