I grew up seeing this saying hung up on my grandmothers and dads walls, all my life. It wasnt until yesterdy when i saw this on my FB feed, and it clicked. I have never memorized it, in all of my years of seeing it, until yesterday. And it was always the middle part i could Never remeber. The COURAGE to change what i can:black_heart: and that hit me like a ton of bricks. To have the strengh to change what is in our control. I never knew how controlling i was. And i mean, not control out of ego. I am controlling in a sense of trauma control. Im trying to control things as a protection barrier… it was an interesting epiphany
