I had a great experience today. One of my daughters friends mothers said to me today “you look so good and healthy. You look happy! And your skin looks so good!” She barely knows me as she has only seen me a few times in passing. I couldn’t help but tear up and say “thank you!! And thanks for noticing!! I’m in RECOVERY (which came out of nowhere but felt like the right/natural thing to say at the time). I feel SO much better!” To mentioned to her that we need to get better acquainted so she can learn more about me and vice-versa. She is such a sweet individual.
I thought this was fucking awesome and it just goes to show how truly being in “recovery” really changes you from the core! I literally feel different on the inside and I love it!
It’s quite AMAZING what a month of TRUE Sobriety (when you are truly ready) looks like and can exude from your presence. This just made my day and keeps me motivated to keep making the right decisions. People will notice!! People who don’t even know you! Just watch! It’s fucking fantastic!
