I had a pretty horrific childhood. I was a victim of molestation, had alcoholic and violent parents. Swore I'd never be like that! 30 years later, here I sit. Just now finding out alcohol kept me in a victim mentality. The one thing I thought was helping, actually kept me in the grips of being a victim! Today, I slowly start to climb out of that trap!! I will be a victim no more!!!!
Prayers sent for strength and healing
Thank you
Prayers and be strong
We each been thru stuff and we all have the same problem. Whenever we put a mood or mind altering substance in ourselves, we can't stop. Are you willing to get a sponsor, call the sponsor daily, go to a meeting of AA, help other alcoholics .... And sponsoring others??? It's an actually small price to pay for a life... But it just gives you a chance..
It's not about your talk,it is about your actions... Good Luck... AA is the only thing that keeps people alive and sober

I am so proud of you for rising above! I can empathize with you, Jason. I had a traumatic childhood as well and I used alcohol to numb the pain. Glad you are here! If you ever need a friend, please feel free to reach out
