I hate that I have to change my sobriety date

I hate that I have to change my sobriety date after not even a week.. even a year would be a blessing. I’m young but I don’t feel like I’ve enjoyed a year out of my life since 15 years old

Just don't give up. I have too many day ones to count. It is possible.

Hi Christian, my suggestion is to not dwell on the slip. Just keep moving forward. Take the next step indicated, you can’t go wrong. Life does get better, you just have to stick with it and do the work.

I messed up last night…. I definitely was hard on myself this morning…. Hit a meeting at noon and now I’m refocused throwing myself into new projects around the house for the time being

Don’t give up on life, every day is a blessing and worth enjoying

Look at yesterday’s daily reflection (aa)

In keeping with the pain and adversity which our founders encountered and overcame in establishing A.A., Bill W. sent us a clear message: a relapse can provide a positive experience toward abstinence and a lifetime of recovery. A relapse brings truth to what we hear repeatedly in meetings – "Don't take that first drink!" It reinforces the belief in the progressive nature of the disease, and it drives home the need for, and beauty of, humility in our spiritual program. Simple truths come in complicated ways to me when I become ego driven.
