Nina, don’t trip! At 6 years sober I got real dry and miserable. I was probably programming too much and not able to meditate. I got real dark and regressed and started being really mean to others. Even thought about checking out permanently.
But I stayed sober, had a break through on my meditation and a new era started.. I’m 16 years sober now and pretty smooth sailing.
I’m here if you want to talk.

Thank you for saying this, I just keep movin one day at a time! If I were to pick up a drink right now there would be no coming back, I know this deep down. So I will keep fighting the fight.

Slow down and breathe

I just read Soulbriety by Elisa Hallerman in audio book. I get lots of free audio books from my local library. Breathe!:person_in_lotus_position: Remember your priorities and why you are sober and made it this far! You’ve got this!

5 years WAS a hard one for me. How long has it been since you have done an inventory?

@nina383204 I'm at 36+years and still struggle. Granted my struggles are few and far
However what @david348981 , @danny157478 , @ron180067 , @karla382722 all have said says it all. We ALL struggle during certain points of our sobriety. You're not alone in this. The solution is what you do with your struggles. Yes, put it from pen to paper. Take an inventory of your struggles.
There is freedom on the other side.
You got this my friend. We are here/hear for you.

Hi Katti, thanks for commenting and yes I have become complacent so I am going to try to do the inventory again.

I found it helpful to write down how I'm feeling or all my thoughts and explore it more
