I have 7 days sober today. I have been working on my recovery for approximately 15 years. At one point I had 7 years of continuous sobriety. I’ve had 6 months recently, but let life get me down. Instead of facing things I chose to pick up a drink to make the feelings disappear. This has never been a solution- just a band-aid on a deep wound. I am choosing sobriety one more time instead of the misery of the drink. I’m grateful for another chance to get my life together
It’s a gift for sure having another chance. Been there. Swallow the past and start adding to that sober future. You know you can do it. Congratulations on that week earned.
You're beautiful sweetheart.....keep up the good work. We all fall down at some point but it's how we handle it that matters. Those are the times we learn from and realize nobody can use or drink successfully. U will be ok, and keep faith in yourself. Remember that bad thoughts are temporary and u will be stronger each time u don't act on them. Take one day at a time and don't be hard on yourself. Look at how beautiful u are sweetie....good luck and keep your head up. U will make it through this one day at a time. Remember consequences when u have bad thoughts and think things through to the end.
Keep trying! I had 18 month, got divorced, drank six months. Now I've got one month and 9 days. It's a band aid that injures you.
I love the "one more time" sentiment, bc I hope it is your last time. That wound can't heal wo you making this work, I know it too well. To you!
Keep coming back! And congrats on 7 days! Prayers your way.
