I don't knock people who find another way to get sober but I pray for them and hope they stay that way! Without AA and both big books I'd struggle.
J Benoit talked about The twelve steps are not for everyone in his book but the 12 steps do work if you can do them Lots of failures come from People not being truthful with themselves when they do the twelve steps I have been in my addiction 34 years and have fallen and seen people fall ...
I get right back up and face myself
Not only a sponsor and or therapist but u also need a network that’s gonna hold each other accountable frfr
There are many pathways to recovery. I practice an abstinent based program with the 12 steps of AA. However, i work in a hard reduction treatment center and there are people who have found recovery through that. I believe in anything that helps someone save their life amd live happy, joyous, and free without the use of recreational drugs or alcohol. (:
Many people I know - say: I don’t drink, and I go to meetings. This is what keeps me sober. Working the 12 steps Helps me grow as a person. It definitely improves my relationships With friends family and loved ones. It is a spiritual program, That has worked for many. I’m going to sleep sober tonight and I look forward to waking up sober. That’s my comment for tonight: keep up the good work yourself.
