I have a friend who is in rehab and looking for a male sponsor in the Austin, TX area.

Hello. Most rehabs can recommend AA's and sponsorship. Have him check with a counselor or supervisor if they can assist him. The rehabs I've been at had AA NA meetings with people ready to sponsor.

If he is close to graduating, tell him to ask his counselor about a 'Bridging the Gap' program. That connects him with a AA/NA member on the outside who'll take him to his first meeting. If volunteers bring meetings into the center ask for a temporary sponsor.
