I have a hard time getting through my stressful days without drinking throughout the day.. very functioning alcoholic but Im so tired of it. Then when I'm out and about I just have to get something to feel less stressed about my day. I'm very ready for change...

That means to me that you need to work on lowering stress and handling stress better .
What helps lower the stress in your life?
Maybe not rushing, not driving during rush hour, staying away from people that cause you stress, being careful what you choose to let enter your perception like not watching or reading news too much if that's stressful.
Also loving oneself, cutting yourself slack, taking it easy on being hard and demanding of self, being kind to self so that you don't add any stress at all with your thoughts, actions, words.
Self talk can be important,
Reprogramming the brain to be less stressed,
Don't go to stressful places at busy times.
And Yoga and meditation help reduce stress, exercise...
