I have over 9 months clean and I have been talking with someone who is also in recovery tonight they got the wrong message it bothers me because I'm still dealing with feeling's and also rejection I live in a sober living home and I am trying to make friends with new people what's the best way to deal with rejection
I've been sober for many years... and I get EXACTLY how rur feeling! It's about boundaries. You r NOT responsible for someone else's feelings. If that person misinterpreted what u said, it's not ur fault. Don't let it bother you, or at least try not to! I think working on boundaries: identifying what HELATHY boundaries are... what those feel like... how to address what to do when someone violates those boundaries, etc.... should help u tremendously! And know that it's not a quick task. I'm still working on it. Above all, try 2remember that someone's rejection isn't always about u!! It's your interpretation that it is: bc its all related to boundaries.
Thanks I appreciate the input
Hope it helps, is all
Yes it does help thank you it makes sense that's one thing that I have a problem with is expression of how I feel
