Why do we fall, Mary?

So that we can pick ourselves back up... Never give up

It happens. We are only human. Don’t beat yourself up too much. I would suggest getting involved in a program if you haven’t already. Try them all if you are not sure what will work for you. Don’t give up, keep getting up and trying again.

When you're on a road trip and you get a flat tire, you don't turn around and go home, you change the tire and go on.

We all trip and fall or stumble sometimes, the important part is getting back up. We’ve all been there, so you are not alone.

Watching your progress since I started this app. It's like a TV show. Season one is over ended with a cliff hanger. Now it's time for season 2 . Good Luck :+1:

Don't beat yourself up over it, it happened you can't go back and change it, it is what it is at this point, it's the past, but you have to make the choice to learn from that experience or let it keep you back from what you deserve. keep moving forward and continue to recover. Relapse happens, and that doesn't make you any less than anyone else. Jus keep pushing forward

Hey Mary, I have relapsed 2 times over the course of 6 months. I did have 105 days of sobriety at one point. I realized I wasn’t working the program. Today I’m journaling and doing things differently, hitting meetings at least twice a day. Calling my sponsor everyday!!! Find a good support system and center your life around it.

You had 3 months AF!!! That is AWESOME  Those 3 months aren’t lost. You learned and grew during that AF time and you should be proud. Don’t let this lapse allow shame to creep in and start beating yourself up. Get back up and do it again and DO NOT EVER STOP QUITTING. We are the lucky ones :heavy_heart_exclamation:

Agree. It’s the environment I find myself in…it’s a choice. I chose to move away from a lot of negative, triggering people and toward positive people (much less stress or triggers=less desire to drink)

Don't give up its possible to stay sober. I've been trying to stay sober since 2011...have a little over 5 years sober now. Took my relapses to get where im at today. Meditation seemed to be the one thing I tried different from my other attempts at sobriety

Be grateful you are back for one thing  some people don’t make it back I’m happy for you, recovery is an inside job , I’m the problem, take suggestions, nothing changes nothing changes, don’t drink go to meetings if you can’t do both go to meetings, try not drinking between meetings, that might sound funny but think of that statement, good luck :+1:

Mary. I relapse all the time. Don’t be hard on your self. I’m only 6 days ahead of you. 7 days today! Don’t give up. Message us tomorrow. Let us know how you’re doing!!

Thank you. I will make sure to update you guys tomorrow. Whatever happens today I won’t drink!!

I'm with you Mary!! Today will be day two if I don't drink tonight. I had about 63 days or so and have been relapsing for about 3 weeks. I'm trying to figure out what I need to deal with my triggers. Send me a message if you need to talk.
