I have so much family drama it’s exhausting. My uncle and brother got into a huge fight in October which has transpired into more drama and more drama. I feel like I can’t escape it.

Disconnect all social media you share with them and take a breather from family functions.

I apologize, that wasn't meant to sound like some sort of order, I just approach things like m making a list of what I would do in the same situation. That was my first inclination. That just wouldn't work for some people if they lived with family etc.

Try not to take ownership of drama that other people created. Set boundaries and stick to them. It sounds like your brother and your uncle need to solve this problem!?

I agree. It’s been awful.

I avoid getting sucked into the drama. I simply don’t participate. No social media (except this app) and make friends in the AA fellowship.
When they try to draw me in I simply say, sorry that’s happening and change the subject. Negativity is contagious and I have no use for it today.

For you sobriety you need to step away. Their issues are not your issues. Just do you and let them do them. I found I had to do this because families are by far the worse when it comes to helping us achieve what we want.

Oh boy I’m so grateful my family lives in another state I just have to disengage when it gets deep

I agree with many above, best for you to let them know you love them, but the stress is too much for you so it’s best they no longer include you in it.
