I have the habit now of scrolling through social media and seeing people glamorize being blacked out or a drunk mess and automatically start judging.

Not that I think I’m better than them because I’m far from that but I don’t like this judgy person I am

I think I’m just projecting. Or wishing that being sober is as glamorous as being drunk

Sober is glamorous to me. When I see people under the influence I am grateful that I no longer dance that dance. It’s a relief.
I don’t think you’re judging anyone. It is odd that blacking out is glamorized. Well, it’s more than odd. Sounds like you’re observing behavior and forming an opinion about what you’re seeing. Don’t beat yourself up

I dread the business related dinner events at work. I have to go as part of the job but it’s becoming a real pain to sit through the stupidity that I so gladly used to engage in. No one says anything as to why I don’t drink but they get just as trashed as ever.

It's weird but I think I depise it because it's really everything I do not want to be but know I certainly have been.

I think the word "judgy" or "judgemental" gets thrown around a lot, as something that it completely negative and without merit. I heavily disagree. It depends on the situation. Are you judging someone based on their brand of footwear? Or are you judging someone based on other things, as negative stimuli to you, in a survival mechanism to avoid disinterest or conflict. Don't sweat it.

I think you're seeing your old behaviors reflected in theirs. If it's someone that hasn't expressed a desire to change, or don't believe they have a problem, I tend to believe they're correct. If we don't believe we have a problem, we're not going to seek solutions. Like Dave said, I see their behavior, and I'm just glad I'm not dealing with that anymore.
