I have to get sober for my kids, I have tried everything…books, aa meetings, celebrate recovery…. I have to stop!!!
Try getting sober for yourself. Getting sober for someone else no matter who, gives you an excuse to relapse because it “isn’t your fault” get to a program! Any type of program, as long as you are open and honest. Good luck!
After several inpatient treatments for alcohol.. Someone finally mentioned will power.. Finding that changed everything..
We’d love to help you. How can we help you? Most of us have tried several times, and different ways before finally getting some decent sobriety under our belts. Addiction is nasty, but there is a way out. Hope you find the strength and courage to continue reaching out for help

You need to get sober for yourself first. First time I did it for family and I relapsed. The last time I did for myself and finally celebrated 20 months. One Day At a Time.
That’s awesome!! And yes I do need to, and want to do it for myself
Good luck. You can do it just take it One Day At A Time. Only way that worked for me. Because if I go past that I panic.

You can do it, YOU have to make the choice every day! It's a struggle at first, but you have to go minute by minute. I prepared by buying lots of seltzers, like 4 12 packs, got them cold, so that if I felt the need for a drink I had seltzers, I kept doing this day after day, I'm 10 months in, every day I make the decision it to drink! My kids 6&7 have noticed, we do way more together. But honestly I started out doing it for me, if I didn't do it for myself I never would have for anyone else! I also highly recommend the app I am Sober, you pledge every day and can journal! Best wishes, reach out if you need to talk!
I did the same. The first year I think I drank a 6 pack of seltzer a day, just to always have a drink in my hand. It helped, now a couple years later I don’t need to.
