I have two amazing parents that have been together for 35 plus years but one is more caring/ understanding when it comes to my sobriety. How do you deal with that? Sometimes it makes it a little difficult for me as in dealing with sobriety.
Lots of people get and stay sober with NO family support. As a matter of fact some families encourage them to drink again or tell them they don’t have a problem. Others have no family at all.
I suggest you go to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. It’s also suggested to do 90 meetings in 90 days.
I learned there that my sobriety is not dependent upon anyone else. I also learned that I don’t need an excuse to drink.
Hang in there. It gets better
