Good work Robin. That’s a Christmas gift you’re man can enjoy

I’m so proud of you Emily!! I’m one day sober. I pray that next Christmas I can say, it was my first sober one. Sending you hugs and praying you feel deep sense of peace and love today!
This is amazing Emily!
congratulations, and you should be so proud. I am struggling to get sober, and YES Holidays are sadly a triggering time for me too…
But what helps me when I feel triggered is to just take a step back and look at all the things I am grateful for in life. Christmas… thanksgiving… New Years… these holidays are just DAYS. But you are alive and sober on this day, and that is something to savor and celebrate

Congrats Emily! I too am ready for Christmas to be over very lonely and depressing time for me.
Wendy your comment just put a big smile on my face, thank you so much for your kind words! And girl I’m proud of you too!!! Making the initial leap, choosing to make a healthy life change, and SHOWING up day 1 is so admirable and brave! You got this girl!
Jill thank you so much for that great advice! I am sad but embracing it… no one said this upward journey was going to be easy
Thank you Stephen! I’m just ready to get back to the grind and keep moving this train forward!
I hear that.
Yesss, please be over!!—lol. You just gotta keep plowing forward, one day at a time, and keep reminding yourself, this is all temporary and shall pass.
Freddy my 16 yr old daughter and I are currently estranged… last year was my first Christmas without her ever in my life. Last year I just drank the day (heck the week) away to numb myself. This year I’m having to face that whole sober and it’s very sad and difficult
Brave Wendy. No better time than NOW.
Xmas is both happy and sad... its normal for everyone... just enjoy the good times and the bad
So much awesome Christmas’ ahead. Breath. Keep up the daily disciplines and live the fulfilling life you deserve.
Keep chatting about it... we undestand
Yesss. Love it. I got away from my family by volunteering at an alcathon. I live in the south shore of MA. Nice to see a neighbor here! Congrats on your journey.
Thank you Tim
If you are going around drinking, parties, etc— if you begin to feel uncomfortable or uneasy for any reason—- try to find ways to help the people there. My go-to is picking up drinks that are empty, cleaning stuff up, etc.
When you get “out of yourself/head” and begin thinking about helping others and taking action to do it—- the anxiety goes away.
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas Omar
congratulations on your journey as well neighbor!
Ohhh yes. That’s tough💔
I’m sending good vibes to both you & your daughter. I hope that a bit of time & some healthy habits will provide the healing needed to bring you closer to each other.
I hope the magnitude of what you’re working on shines bright.
Merry Christmas, Emily❤️
Thank you so much for your inspirational and kind words Freddy! Merry Christmas!
