Recovery is a life-long process. We make amends to ourselves and others while on the journey. We do get better and things get easier. Drinking or using never solved anything in my life; it just compounded my problems.

Yeah, and I remember the feeling of "waking up to the wreckage." I still have to live life on life's terms today, but having a program and a support group make it much easier and more productive.
