I hit 90 days today! Personal best since I started drinking at 15. Might go to my first ever AA meeting today, if I don’t chicken out lol

Yay Kate!!! It’s so awesome to see you doing so well. Enjoy the meeting. I struggled mightily with the concepts of powerlessness and God, Him, higher power, power greater than myself, turning over my will etc..it took some time, but I’ve found peace with it all now. If you have any of those issues and want to chat about it, send me a message. I have some AA writings and thoughts that may help. It’s a bit much to post here. Regardless, happy to hear of your success :pray::peace_symbol:

That’s kickass! I’d definitely recommend going to an AA. I was the same way, once I got sober I had an unhealthy fear of social situations, and it took a lot of humility for me to walk into an AA meeting. Between that and getting a sponsor, it’s been the best thing to happen to my sobriety.

Congratulations! Just know that you are not limited to AA. There are several recovery programs out there. Find what fits you.
