I hope this app, and its dating side, starts finding its legs. I feel like traditional social media focuses too much on the world’s view of success. Cry out on Facebook, and watch decades of “friends” ignore it. Scroll through alcohol ads and pictures of people happy out with their kids, going to conventions, sharing work achievements. It’s like window shopping out-of-reach lifestyles. It’s not unfair, or maybe it is, but it’s not helping with recovery. I just have a lot of words crashing around in my head constantly, and Facebook doesn’t seem to be the medium anymore.
And I’d also like to work for Loosid, but I can’t find them. This type of app development is right up my alley and I’m really longing to work in the recovery space. It’s such a great idea - it just needs to spread (and some performance fixes
).
