I just can’t seem to get one day clean I’ve been on the methadone program for 10 years I was on 90 mg but I tapered down to 49mg I’ve been at 49mg for almost 2years now I get a day here a day there clean but I know I need to do better and I know I’m capable of it too it’s just Guna take some discipline and sacrifice I don’t want to use but sometimes I feel like it’s all I know

Good morning, JUSTIN I’m sorry to hear you are struggling. I know it is hard to hear. But we do recover. Slowly, but surely coming down off of methadone is really hard. But I pray that you can get off of methadone.

Have you tried to go to detox for a longer period of time and then PHP and then IOP.

Hey man thanks for replying yes I have detoxed 2 different times and each time I was on the program for only 30 days then I was leaving for tour I was in a band and if I came home and never used I would still be sober

Opiates are tough brother I know. I personally had success with Suboxone and IOP but obviously everyone is different. Sometimes it just has to be in patient treatment etc. Also yes people and places definitely a huge road back to using. Find NA meetings if you haven't already and keep trying. You can and will get better brother.

My pleasure the reason I was asking is sometimes a 90 day program gets as far enough away from the drink or the drug. And that is what we need to be separated from it for our mind to slowly clear.

I was in halfway house for 18 months and my guys grace I just celebrated 23 years, clean and sober
