I just feel like giving up I’m 49 days in
As I tell everyone else for some it is for life for others it’s temporary for a few years man but in the end remember how you feel when not drinking and waking up the next day feeling great the next day as to when you do drink feeling down on yourself the next day..
Keep on pushing homie it’s better for you and for anyone and everyone around you trust me in the end you’ll be grateful to keep on pushing for all that you can achieve without drinking.. some of us need to be sober some don’t some can function and succeed in all they do to have a hold on it and but as for me I can’t man I’ll lose it all drinking again..
So if it’s for you the same way one drink isn’t enough then I suggest you keep on pushing and doing what you been doing you’ll thank you’re self later man!! Good luck
Well I won’t give up on nobody trying to get sober so why don’t you join me?
I feel you...I'm on day 42. I'm going to meetings, have a sponsor, working the steps and going to therapy. However I fallen in to a depression. I'm anxious, aggravated, irritable, fatigued and forcing myself to do self care. I hear everyone talking about this "spirtual awakening" and I'm nowhere near it. I'm having cravings and using dreams. I'm talking about it but everyday is a slow crawl over broken glass. I don't want to drink. I just want to feel better.
Ask yourself a realistic question. What does giving up look like? For your future, your family, your health, your job,and anything else you hold close. If you can honestly say it would be worth it? I say try it. But if anyone in the equation will suffer? Take a breath, reach your sponsor, talk to your higher power, go to a meeting, and reset. You are doing so well!! 40 plus days is a milestone and something to be proud of!! This being hard isn’t going anywhere! Ever! But it’s strengthening us!! Be empowered!! I’m really proud of you. Much love you to. And if you need anything, reach out.
Just remember it is so much easier to stay sober than to get sober. Repeating those words over and over have helped me tremendously. That and really recalling my last horrific drunk. I hope that may help you as well. Hang on, you can do this. God’s got you!

If in doubt, zoom it out. Ask yourself: will drinking today make me happy come morning? If not, decide to stay sober. Can you think of other ways to meet your needs than drinking? Or maybe you need to make changes in your approach to sobriety? I’m sure you’ll figure it out!
Thanks everyone in here with your kind words. Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough. 50 days strong
Wait one year.then see.go to 90&90 meetings and meet people.do the work.do not isolate get out .get a sponsor.
