I just had the overwhelming thought cross my brain. Tomorrow I am 5 months sober, and successfully quit cigarettes 61 days tomorrow. I see all of your clean times and it hits me, we’ve all taken steps forward and of course backward. But we’re here today because the drive of passion in us all keeps it going and keeps it simple. I’ve been going through a chain of crazy emotional ups and down down ups. As I overwhelm with all the things day to day, I am FIVE months sober tomorrow.
Great message Wyatt! Congrats on 5 months as well! The crazy emotional ups and downs pretty much matches my experience. I could be driving down a road one morning so full of gratitude that tears are literally dripping down my face. That same afternoon I’m driving down that same road and I have dark thoughts of the harm I did to my loved ones, and the years I lost because I chose to drink instead of handle things properly. It’s crazy bro. Regardless, we are here as you say. We are working a program and staying sober. 5 months is a beautiful thing…congrats!
Day by day, the strides we take. Keeping it simple is such a complex thing because we make it so complex. Letting go of the reigns of control in my life and just letting thing happen and ride out, patiently. Biggest blessing in my life.
Wow Wyatt!! That's friggin awesome Man!! I didn't dare try to quit smoking in my first few yrs of sobriety! Congrats on your 5 months too!!!
Yay Wyatt!
Good work Wyatt. It is amazing when you stop counting days and suddenly months have passed. For me at least, that’s when I knew I was getting somewhere. Just past month 28 and wouldn’t have even thought of it without the tracker on this app. Still one day at a time though
You’re killing it!!
Good thing ... you are human! In some instances I count in nano seconds... they add up... seconds, minutes, hours, daze, weeks, months, years, decades...well i gotta stop at decades going on two. GREAT JOB... Is it getting less difficult? It does for me. NEVER EASY... absolutely less difficult! Keep it up! O2-28-2OO2
