Things at my halfway house has been pretty rough lately. The director is verbally abusive and always talking down on us. It’s only 3 girls here…well at least it WAS! She came in tonight and got upset that someone touched the thermostat and told all three of us to pack up and leave. I spoke to my dad about it (he’s a retired police officer) and he told me to notify the police. They then told her that she could not put us out like that and needs to start an eviction notice. My third housemate left, but me and my roommate are still here. Tonight, I had an interview with the Oxford house here in Nashville and was approved to come in on the spot. So thankfully I’ve been planning and my dad is helping me with the deposit. I’m just glad that tonight, I didn’t give in and just say eff it and use. I’m a little anxious and confused but my Higher Power is most definitely making a way out of no way.
Wow!!! That is rough Girl!! You did the right thing! Nice work taking care of you and protecting your sobriety in such a difficult situation!! How nerve racking!! Impressive!! God is good all the time!!
You’re dealing with hardship and not using. You should be proud of yourself, these are the tests we will all experience for the rest of our lives, it seems you’re passing. Keep at it. Best wishes.
Yes. I truly learned how important my network is last night.
Hang in there. You easily could have left and used and then been fd all over again. I’m so glad you are not. Good job girl!
You will love the Oxford house set up. You go as you please and there is no house lady, you work together as a team.
Really glad things worked out. Definite sign from your higher power. Reward of sobriety. Keep on that path.
Your higher power is definitely coming through for you! Glad you stayed sober!
Stay strong … your one tough cookie.. I’m proud of you
